Authentic Union

Authentic Union

At the unique wedding ceremony of this love birds, a friend asked me if they were getting married for the purpose of Europe passport (Citizenship); I laughed out loud and siad: “To the best of my knowledge, this is the first Authentic same sex marriage in Netherlands between two African women. This is love and has nothing to do with migration or EU status”.

It was a beautiful windy and rainy day at Beachclub Naturel, Scheveningen in The Hague, Netherlands where we witnessed the official matrimony of Judith & Mona. It was graced by prominent Lawyers, Activists, Advocates and People from all work of life from around the world. Family and Friends were not left out, Queer identifying persons were fully represented. The wedding was anchored by “Holy Homosexual”himself; Rev. Jide Macaulay. Guest flew in from Africa, US, EU, UK and Canada. It was my first experience of same sex wedding ceremony and from the sincere part of my heart, it was amazing!

The Duo had this to say “07 March 2018, the day we will always remember and live to tell our kids. I will start off by saying, "ever heard of speed dating? Just know that it truly works". I met the love of my life at an event. I remember the day as if it was just yesterday. I saw the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life, please do not get me wrong, she is not a thing thing like a thing. She is the most incredible creature ever created. I was the moderator and she was a participant. At one moment during the event, I could not keep my eyes off her. She looked up and caught my stare, and that is where it all began”.

There is absolute happiness where there is love. These two are focused individuals with good heart and good life. They add value to everyone that comes in contact with them and very valuable to groups, organizations, communities and countries they come in contact with.

Love is not a crime, it is infact a good thing ordained by our creator.
Love is a beautiful thing when it is cherished and appreciated.

Congratulations to Mona and Judith!
